Japan Impact 2019 will hold two cosplay contests during the weekend ! Cosplay is the art of dressing oneself as a character from a manga, a video game, a comic, and all these universes. Every year, our contests are at the core of Japan Impact.
Saturday : 13h -15h, Forum Rolex
During the solo cosplay, each contestant will try to impress the public with a moving, funny or cheerful performance.

During the group cosplay, several contestants will go on stage and try to make the public enter their fantasy world.
And for the first time this year, the group cosplay will hold the swiss selection for the Clara Cow’s Cosplay Cup !

We’ve been looking this year for new sponsors for our cosplay contests to please our contestants. The following sponsors will give prizes to the winners :
- Bernina : the well known sewing machine firm will offer 2 machine in the solo contest (total value : 3’400 CHF). One will be given to the winner of the solo contest. The other will be given to the favorite of a special jury made of members of the Japan Impact’s organization.
- mamike.ch : the owner of the cosplayer’s well known Worbla© and other craftings stuffs. They will be offering to the members of the podium gift vouchers, Worbla and goodies’ bag. The best swiss contestant in the solo contest will also be the 2019’s “godchild” of Mamike/Worbla, which will allow him to receive up to 600 CHF during the year in mamike.ch products as well as advice and help from the mamike.ch team on techniques he wishes to improve.
- Nintendo : Mario’s and Zelda’s father will be offering different prizes to the members of the podium.
- The haberdashery “la Maison Rouge” in Savigny : this shop which has a big variety of tissues and haberdashery products will offer gift vouchers to the winners.

It might be interesting to note that during our group contest, we will also held Swiss selections for the Clara Cow’s Cosplay Cup, which you can find the rules here . This year, the C4 finals will take place on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of July 2019 at Animecon in the Netherlands.
