From darkness comes light

Saturday,17:00 - 18:00 at Osaka
Sunday,14:30 - 15:30 at Osaka

The founding myths inspired by the stars in Japan will be introduced to you by Emilie Hertig, member of the astronomy association Callista.

This conference will bring you back to the early stages of the Universe, when from Chaos Light appeared, rising with the first Deities which legends were engraved in the celestial vault. Planets, stars and Milky Way swing between tragedies and romantism, like in the famous story of The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl banished to opposite side of a River and allowed to meet once a year.
There you will discover, with a bit of surprise maybe, the parallels that can be drawn between those ancient tales and the modern representation of the Universe. There again, you will gather a couple clues on the reading of the lunar calendar mandala rhythming the traditionnal japanese celebrations.
