Press Release: The 13th edition of Japan Impact is cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic
Following the spread of the COVID-19 disease and the regulations currently in force in the canton of Vaud and at EPFL, the PolyJapan committee had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 edition of its flagship convention: Japan Impact.
The Organizing Committee would like to thank the attendants for their loyalty, as well as its volunteer staff, its guests, its partners and all the people, companies and associations involved directly or indirectly in the organization of the festival. We already want to reassure them that the future of the event will not be endangered due to this cancellation.
After gathering more than 9,000 people in 2020, Japan Impact must confine itself and do its best to deliver a memorable next edition, while continuing to organize various activities throughout the year, but not only. The committee, aware of the frustration caused by the cancellation of various events and conventions this year, is working on a lean version of Japan Impact, details of which will be revealed very soon.
While waiting to find its loyal audience in 2022, the organizers of Japan Impact naturally wish a positive and rapid evolution of the situation in Switzerland as in the rest of the world and thank each and everyone for their understanding concerning these circumstances.
