Kimikimi Kimono mode

I am a Japanese enthusiast of kimonos and have been living in Lausanne since 2011. I am just a housewife who enjoys crafting handmade items as a hobby. Born in Japan, I have appreciated Japanese culture by studying floral arrangement, Japanese calligraphy, and learning how to wear a kimono. I have traveled to various places in Japan, enjoyed diverse cuisines and entertainment, and grew up experiencing Japanese life amidst various cultural influences. I have been crafting for over 40 years and have cherished kimonos for over 30 years. To help you appreciate the culture of Japan, where I was born and raised, I use kimonos, Japanese fabrics, washi paper, and other Japanese materials to create accessories, hair ornaments, bags, fabric accessories, simple two-piece kimonos, and kimono clothing. I craft my works by hand and aim to make my favorite kimono more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I would be delighted if everyone could enjoy and feel closer to Japan through my creations and ideas. Let’s together savor Japanese culture.

Kissui

The Kissui association is keen to share its passion for Asian culture and offers a range of activities focusing on a particular aspect. For example: Light Novels, Go, nunchaku, the shakuhachi flute and mythology. We recently launched a virtual showroom to allow independent artists to exhibit their work free of charge.

And this year, we’re delighted to be able to offer you a brand new Light-Novel written entirely by our members in an original heroic fantasy creation that’s a little bit offbeat!
