Komainu Lyon is a Yosakoi troupe, the fourth French troupe to be created after Paris, Nantes and Bordeaux. Created in 2018, it now has more than 30 active dancers and participates in numerous fairs and events throughout France and abroad, and this year at Japan Impact! In addition to performances on both stages of the convention, you can also learn about this dance and take with you a bit of this festive atmosphere!

Yosakoi is a dance created in the 1950s in the prefecture of Kōchi, Shikoku in order to revitalize the region economically. The first festival entirely dedicated to yosakoi was created and it became the main tourist attraction of the prefecture. Every year, hundreds of troops parade through its long streets or on stages set up for the occasion.

If you want to discover more details about their universe, go to their Facebook: @Komainulyon

They will offer you a long initiation on Saturday from 17:15 to 18:00 in the Tate room.
