About Shibari
After a great success over the past two years, shibari returns to Japan Impact with unconventional talks led by @nawashi.ch.
A contemporary art inspired by ancient Japanese practices, shibari intrigues, amazes, and captivates through its aesthetics and depth. Once again this year, Tengu invites you to explore this universe through a captivating demonstration, accompanied by his partner Barbara. Between tension and fluidity, gentleness and control, you will discover a language in which ropes become a true form of expression.
Talks and demonstration
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February, Tengu will lead talks about the art of shibari with a live demonstration. Each session will be preceded by an explanatory introduction and followed by an open discussion during which you will be able to ask any questions that come to mind about the practice of shibari and this little-known world.
A suspended moment, blending trust, safety, and connection, promising to transport you into the heart of this mysterious art.
