When we think of samurai, it is difficult not to think of their swords, particularly the daishō, the pair of blades consisting of a katana and a wakizashi.
What not everyone knows is that there used to be another short sword, the tantō.
Between past and present, combat and symbolism, history and use, come and discover this forgotten guard of the samurai at the conference held by the Dōjō Jouen of the Wa Rei Ryū as part of Japan Impact on February 15, 2026.
