Etsuko Chida

Would you like to discover traditional Japanese music? Join us in the Matsuri room and travel to the sounds of the koto with Etsuko Chida, an artist from the famous Yamada school based in Tokyo ✨️

The koto is a plucked string instrument that arrived in Japan in the 8th century. It is often used to accompany Kabuki and Bunraku plays 👺

Etsuko Chida will do us the honour of performing on stage on Saturday at 4.15pm and Sunday at 12.45pm. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the most memorable traditional Japanese arts 🎶
