Mamike

Thursday, January 4, 2024
For this 15th edition of Japan Impact we are renewing our collaboration with Mamike.ch, the must for all cosplay fans in Switzerland, which is sponsoring our cosplay contest!

Nestling in the centre of Berne’s old town, mamike.ch isn’t just an online shop, it’s a veritable Ali Baba’s cave for cosplay enthusiasts. Whether it’s Flexbond, Plastidip, Gummidip or HexFlex, or EVA and Poly Props Foam, not forgetting all the Worbla’s and lots of flexible acrylic colours, mamike.ch is the place where your research turns into finds for your next cosplay project all in one place.

In addition to their support, Mamike will give a creative boost to a cosplayer taking part in the solo cosplay competition who has not won a prize. The sponsoree will be supported in their new project for 1 year with products, equipment and workshops at Mamike to help them build their new cosplay.

Don’t hesitate to visit their stand at our next edition of Japan Impact!

Etsuko Chida

Wednesday, January 3, 2024
Would you like to discover traditional Japanese music?
Join us in the Matsuri room and travel to the sounds of the koto with Etsuko Chida, an artist from the famous Yamada school based in Tokyo ✨️

The koto is a plucked string instrument that arrived in Japan in the 8th century.
It is often used to accompany Kabuki and Bunraku plays 👺

Etsuko Chida will do us the honour of performing on stage on Saturday at 4.15pm and Sunday at 12.45pm. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the most memorable traditional Japanese arts 🎶

It’s with great pleasure that we announce the coming of Mitsu, a French personality who has lived in Japan for over 10 years and shares his rather atypical life in his videos.

You’ll be able to meet him on stage at Japan Impact where he’ll share how a series of small choices led him to the life he leads today in Japan. You can expect lots of fascinating anecdotes about his journey, and he’ll also be interacting with you on how to succeed in our own personal projects.

Don’t miss his “Dis-nous Mitsu” session, in which he answers your questions in all honesty.
